It makes our heart heavy to hear an eight-year-old girl had to go to work instead of school, and it is even more heart-wrenching to learn that the innocent girl was murdered by her employers merely because she accidentally let go of their expensive parrot.
Zohra Shah had been employed as a domestic worker at Hassan Siddiqui’s home four months ago to take care of his one-year-old son. On May 31, when the little Pakistani girl tried to help by feeding the employers’ two parrots, they flew away when the cage was opened.
Her employers, who deal in bird selling business, found this out the next day and were enraged. They allegedly beat her violently before taking the tortured girl to a hospital.
Zohra was reportedly succumbed to her injuries after receiving treatment in the hospital.
