A worker at a convenience store in Bandar Rinching suffered facial injuries after being punched by a drunk man for confronting him about taking an umbrella from the premises last night.
The victim's father, Shahrul Aminshah Aziz, 40, stated that his 17-year-old son was working part-time at 7-Eleven after completing his Malaysian Certificate of Education (SPM).

Kajang: Pekerja sebuah kedai serbaneka di Bandar Rinching di sini, cedera di muka selepas ditumbuk lelaki mabuk kerana menegurnya mengambil payung di dalam premis berkenaan malam tadi.

"During the incident, two intoxicated men entered the premises and attempted to take an umbrella. My son confronted them but was then punched by one of the men. What's infuriating is that the man took a selfie with my son after assaulting him," he said when contacted today.
He further mentioned that his son is currently receiving treatment at Hospital Kajang for facial injuries.
"A police report has been filed at the Kajang Police Station for further action. I appeal to anyone who recognizes this man to come forward and provide information to the police," he added.
Meanwhile, Assistant Commissioner Mohd Zaid Hassan, when contacted, confirmed the incident and informed that the police are taking action to apprehend the suspect.
