In a shocking incident, the bodies of two women were discovered inside a car parked near a residential area in Taman Sri Rambai yesterday. The grim find was reported by a passerby who noticed the vehicle around 5.30 pm and immediately alerted the authorities.
According to NST, A spokesperson from the Penang Fire and Rescue Department stated that a team from the Perda Fire and Rescue Station was dispatched to the scene after receiving a call for assistance to unlock the car's doors. "Upon arrival, the rescue team, equipped with personal protective equipment (PPE), successfully unlocked the car using specialized tools. Inside, we found the bodies of two adult women in the front seats. We then handed the case over to the police for further investigation," the spokesperson said in a statement last night.
The women, believed to be in their 20s, appeared to have been deceased for more than five days, as their bodies were bloated and emitting a strong odour. Initial reports suggest that one of the victims may be from Negeri Sembilan, although their identities have not yet been confirmed.
The bodies were subsequently sent to Bukit Mertajam Hospital for post-mortem examinations to determine the exact cause of death. The police are currently conducting a thorough investigation to uncover the circumstances leading to this tragic event.
As the investigation unfolds, the community in Taman Sri Rambai is left in shock and mourning over the untimely deaths of the two young women. Authorities urge anyone with information regarding the case to come forward to assist with the investigation.
