ICYMI: M'sian Man Caught Stealing 3 Durians & Paid The Owner RM10,000 To Settle!
Nowadays, the monthly salary of many young people is barely enough to make ends meet, and if they don't manage their finances properly, they wont be able to save any money at all.
Earlier, a Malaysian woman posted anonymously through the social media account @pelisahh, sharing that she could not save money for beauty and skin care. The post caused heated discussion among netizens.
24F with 1.8k income but no savings need some sense knocked into her (tapi tbh bagi i 1.8k tu memang susah nak save ) pic.twitter.com/1KMf40raMR

The 24-year-old woman pointed out that she earns RM1,800 a month but has no savings at all, so she asked netizens whether this situation is normal for someone of her age.
The woman said that she lives with her parents and her monthly expenses are only the PTPTN loan and fuel costs, but she still has no savings.
That's because she spent the rest of her money on beauty treatments, including laser therapy.
"I would say spend the money on beauty products and treatments while Im still free. Is my spending attitude really that bad? I paid for my beauty treatments using instalments and expect to pay them off in August this year."
She said that she sometimes worried about not having any savings, but at the same time she felt that she had to "YOLO" and live in the present, so she asked netizens to scold her to wake her up.
After reading her post, netizens left their suggestions. Some suggested that she stop spending this way and save a little bit every month, which would add up to a lot.
- "Start saving little by little from now on, even if it's just RM50-RM100, just to prepare for a rainy day."
-"Some people earn RM10k, but the only skincare products they use are face cleanser and sunscreen. How long will you keep doing this? Save slowly. RM200 a month is good. You can save RM2,400 in a year."
- "This is a good time to save money, start saving!"
- "If you want to save money, you have to cut back on entertainment and be determined."
- "The key to saving money is discipline. Open another savings account, but don't apply for a cash card or online banking account. Transfer part of your salary to that account after you get paid every month."
Is it too extravagant to receive a salary of RM1,800 but do beauty treatments on credit every month? Tell us what you think!
