The Inland Revenue Board (LHDN) has introduced a new online service, e-Ansuran, to provide taxpayers with a more flexible option for settling their income tax balances and arrears. This initiative allows eligible taxpayers to pay their income tax in installments over a period of up to six months. The service has been available through LHDN's MyTax portal since 5 March 2025.
Simplifying Tax Payments with e-Ansuran
LHDN stated that the introduction of e-Ansuran is aimed at easing the tax payment process for individuals and businesses. Through this service, taxpayers can conveniently apply to defer their tax payments in installments without the need to submit supporting documents. Furthermore, approval for applications is granted automatically, ensuring a hassle-free experience.
Eligibility Criteria for e-Ansuran
To qualify for the e-Ansuran facility, taxpayers must meet the following requirements:
The total amount applied for must exceed RM300.
The number of installments must range between two and six payments.
The service applies only to income tax payments and excludes ongoing installment plans.
Additional conditions as outlined on the e-Ansuran platform include:
A minimum monthly instalment of RM50.
Monthly installments must be paid on either the 1st or 15th of each month.
Any cancellation of the e-Ansuran arrangement can only be done at LHDN offices.
