As usual September is the month that Apple users normally get a new iPhone and a new software update that slows some phones down and makes some phones better.

The iPhone 13 launch event that is set for September 14 has us at the edge of out seats waiting to see what the new iOS update will bring us and based on what we’ve heard, we will not be disappointed at all!

Here are some of the key features that we LOVE and can’t wait to experience. However, please note that while all these features were displayed on the apple page, some of the features might be delayed and not released as early as the others.

+ Facetime Updates

1. Share Play

You won’t need to go out of your way, turn on your laptop and so on just to head over to Netflix Party to watch the final season of Lucifer with your bestie. The new Share Play feature allows you to watch movies, listen to songs, or share your screen with your friends during a FaceTime call. 

2. Portrait Mode

Just like the Camera option on your phone, this new feature will help your BF to focus on you during a Facetime call as it blurs out your background, just like in Portrait Mode! 

3. Voice Isolation

This feature is especially good if you live in a place surrounded by noise pollution. There’s construction going on, cars honking, dog barking and also children screaming. This feature learns to identify ambient noises and block them out, spotlighting your voice. 

+ Messages Updates

Shared with You

This new feature allows you to share photos, Safari, Apple Music, Apple Podcast, and Apple TV app with friends through Messages. At the same time, the photos sent to you through Messages will be automatically displayed in the Photos app. You can browse and reply directly in Photos without even having to return to Messages.

+ Memoji Updates

If you love memojis then you’re gonna love this new update! There will be uover 40 new outfit choices and you can choose up to three different colors. Besides that, you can also represent yourself with cochlear implants, oxygen tubes, or a soft helmet. There will also be 9 new Memoji Stickers! 

+ Focus Modes

The new focus mode feature will definitely boost your productivity when working from home. With this feature, you can choose the mode you want from a list or customise your own mode. After you turn on focus mode, you will only receive the notifications you want, so that you can concentrate on completing your work. This feature will also display your status in your Messages app so that your friends know that you’re busy and are not simply ignoring them. 

+ Notifications Updates

1. New Look

Your notifications will be displayed with contact photos for people and larger icons for apps.

2. Notification summary

While you’re having a busy day, your iPhone will now send you a helpful summary of all your notifications daily, at the time of your choosing so that you can catch up with anything you’ve missed while you were busy hustling. 

+ Safari Updates

1. Streamlined tab bar

This new feature gives your safari a makeover, giving it a more minimalistic vibe with a streamlined tab bar that takes up less room on the page and floats slightly above the bottom of the screen.

2. Tab overview grid view

This grid view will make your safari look more like Pinterest! Your opened tabs will be displayed in a grid, making it easier to see the tabs you have open and switch between them.

+ Live Text

Please note that this feature is only available for iPhones with A12 Bionic and later.

This feature allows you to copy and paste, lookup, and translate any text in photos. How amazing is that? We can’t wait to try this out.
