Daily cases in Malaysia has seen a sharp rise over the past few days and today (February 5th), it has reached 9,117 bringing the cumulative number within the country to 2,904,131 cases.

Based on DG Hisham, he noted that the rising numbers have been predicted over the next few weeks, but despite it, taking your booster vaccination is important as it curbs the chances of catching the virus.

Health Minister Khairy Jamaluddin, also reminded that the rise is due to the Omicron wave within the country but fortunately, it shows symptoms less severe than that of the Delta variant.
