Ms. Marvel, predicted to be the next Marvel original hit series, has just debuted its pilot episode on Disney+ last month on 8th June, and has received dazzling reviews from fans worldwide. The children-friendly, PG-rated series starring Iman Vellani as Kamala Khan, is a Pakistani Muslim teen with an avid passion for all things Avengers, who in turn discovers that she is a bit of a superhero herself.
Despite the positive turnout, there is one particular group of people who have taken personal offense over the nature of the series, calling it "the biggest slap in the face for conservative Christians to date!". A private Facebook group, named Christians Against Ms. Marvel, which has garnered over 17K members has openly "canceled" the new Marvel series as it "failed" to fit their traditional beliefs of what Marvel superheroes should rightfully look like.
"Disney has decided that the face of this franchise should not be Carol Danvers but should instead be a gay Muslim. no more straight Christian characters from Marvel."
Is Ms. Marvel Really Gay?
There should be no place for homophobia, islamophobia, or misogyny to be so blatantly displayed, especially in today's era. The internet is not the place to promote hate of any kind. Ms. Marvel will continue to be celebrated for its inclusivity and representation, which is an important move to make in a world where racial-based and religion-based discrimination sadly still prevails.

The Facebook group administrators, particularly, do not seem to hold back when it comes to voicing their hateful notions against the franchise. You'll find many messages like this as you scroll through the page.
However, the group's recent posts have been neutralized by a bunch of individuals who simply do not agree with the group's ideology, specifically highlighting the regret that they have dragged religion into such an extreme cause.
