Based on reports, one Hafidzah Abdullah suddenly found RM400,040,404.04 credited to her personal Maybank account about a day or so ago. She was shocked, but after awhile she realized it was a glitch.
Via her LinkedIn post, she told Maybank that she appreciated Maybank for making her banking experience memorable, but the glitch may have taken things a little too far.
After some time, Maybank proceeded blocked her account, but she received no notifications or calls regarding it.
As a matter of fact, to unlock her account she had to visit the nearest Maybank branch, where the staff had to call customer service and reverse the entire process.
According to Hafidzah, it took forever, even though it wasn't her fault.
Maybank's Head Group Customer Experience Management also replied to her online rant via comments to help.
After all the hassle, thankfully eventually, her issues got resolved.
