A container truck lost control and veered across the road at the 57.5-kilometre mark on the Karak Expressway in the rain, causing a major traffic jam in the direction from Bentong to Kuala Lumpur.
The incident occurred around 12:30 pm today. According to reports, the container truck was travelling from Bentong towards Kuala Lumpur when it suddenly lost control and crashed into a road pillar not far from the Bentong toll plaza. The truck blocked the road, causing all following vehicles to come to a standstill and creating a massive traffic jam.
All individuals travelling from the East Coast to Kuala Lumpur are urged to use the old road from Bentong to Kuala Lumpur as an alternative route due to the traffic disruption caused by the accident.
