Throughout our childhood years growing up, next to our parents, there was one group of mentors that truly helped shape us to the people that we are today, and gave us the wealth of knowledge that we needed to help succeed in our adult lives. Without them, life in the adult world would be just that more tricky to navigate. But thanks to our teachers, we needn't have to worry so much because they were the guardian angels we needed who not only taught us, but looked after us and made sure that we stayed on the right path for future happiness and success.

For one day of the year, May 16th, its a time for us to give back and say thank you to these guiding lights in our lives and while some of us are fortunate enough to bestow lavish gifts to these heroes, some may not be as lucky. However, as seen in this TikTok video, some students found any means necessary to show their gratitude to the ones that assisted us so much.

In this 49 second video, user @misaikeli88 gave us a heartwarming glimpse and the lengths her students went to show their appreciation towards her. Bearing homemade gifts plucked from their garden, she was taken aback at the effort and thoughtfulness of these young kids and how creative their presents were.

Armed with an array for florals and vegetables, their teacher recieved possibly the greatest gifts she could ask for. From a bouquet wrapped in banana leaves with bunga kantan & cili padi inside, to a non stick pan as well as some mangoes, you can sense the teacher was not only amused but truly taken aback at the thoughtfulness of her students going out of their way to give her the best teachers day yet.

With the famous saying that "It's the thought that counts", it's clear to see that in spite of the situations they may be in, they thought of any way to truly give their thanks and love to the one person that taught them all the knowledge they could ask for.
