If you found some money but didn't know who it belonged to, what would you do with it?
On January 6, 2025, a Malaysian netizen found a stack of RM50 banknotes spit out from a deposit machine at a bank in Kedah.
He then handed the money to a bank employee and anonymously posted a message on the Facebook group "SP People" looking for the owner, asking him to go back and claim his money.
The kind-hearted person mentioned in the post that he found 11 RM50 notes believed to have been ejected from the machine at the second cash deposit machine on the right side of Hong Leong Bank in Legenda Heights, Sungai Petani at around 9am that day.
Therefore, the person hopes that the owner can go to the bank to get the money back.
After the post was exposed, it caused heated discussion among netizens.
Some netizens left messages praising the original poster for being honest, but others said that with surveillance cameras around, no one would dare to embezzle the money.
In any case, returning lost money and doing one's best to help find the owner is truly a gentleman's act.
