5 Easy Hacks To Organize Your Fridge

Who else has been stocking up their fridge like crazy this year? I'm not surprised if yours has turned out like a forest in Jumanji by now. Here are 5 steps to organize that fridge.

1- Wrap Your Fridge

So don't beat yourself up when there are spills & stains on the inside of your fridge. It happens!

Next time, line the trays with cling wrap first before storing items.

Whenever you need to clean up, remove the plastic & replace with a new one. That will save you some time & energy.

2- Separate Bins

The keyword here is UNIFORM. Put like items in the same bin or near each other.  Use the built-in storage trays/bins in your fridge to the max. If there's not enough room, buy sliding bins with handles, a lazy Susan, or an extra shelf.

It will be easier to reach things & your fridge looks more put together.

3- Inventory Check

Sometimes, you'll have to throw out expired products because they often get pushed back in your fridge.  Learn this hack from restaurants/cafés!

On your fridge door, leave a space for an inventory checklist.

Whenever you pop in an item, jot its name down together with the quantity & expiry date. Cross it out if you have consumed it. Now, you can track down everything in your fridge.

4- Store Vertically

Use this 'KonMari' method for extra storage space in your fridge. Don't leave your products lying horizontally, unless there's no choice.

Instead, arrange them upright whenever possible. There's less risk of spilling items too!

5- Undress Fresh Items

This one's for fresh fruits & veggies. Store packaging makes your fridge look super untidy. Plus, they don't lock in freshness after you've unsealed them once.

So, remove the packaging, clean well & store the items in clear, airtight container. If you have to use plastic, vacuum seal them or get ziploc bags.
