After part 1 and part 2, we have a few more treats for you once again. These stories are just simple, innocent tales, right? There's nothing to be afraid of, right?
My Blind Friend
I have a blind friend who lives alone. I always thought that was really awesome. But, every time I went over to his place, something felt wrong. One day, as we were having dinner at his place, the lights went out. It was at that moment I realized what was always bugging me. Every time after I had left his place, I would always turn back to look at his apartment, and his lights always remained on.
Plane Crash
A plane had crash into the sea. A couple, who were the only survivors, managed to get to an island and have been surviving there for a few years. After being rescued, they were interviewed about their experience.
"Oh my, we were craving meat so so badly! The island had plenty of fruits but not even one species of edible animal. Good thing we could still have some meat every 10 months or so."
Helping Hand
I was waiting for the last bus at night. The only other person at the bus stop was a beautiful lady with a baby in one hand and a heavy bag in the other. She seemed to be tired carrying those things so I offered to help. She rejected but I pushed on "no, no, I insist".
She then firmly pushed me back with her hand, so I finally gave up. The bus arrived. Thinking back now, it was probably good that I didn't help her.
Medical School
A boy had a huge crush on a girl. The girl promised that if he can get into the same medical school as her, she would accept him. The boy tried his hardest but his results were too poor for medical school, let alone the same one as the girl. He was devastated.
One day, the girl received a text from the boy, "now you have to fulfill your promise."
The next day, the boy arrived in the girl's medical school, all cleaned up. The girl was shocked to see him. He even had a card with him.
Stars
I was in the countryside to visit my grandparents and decided to step out for some stargazing. The paddy field offered the best view as it was pitch black. Good thing there were guiding ropes I could just hold and follow.
"Hey, kiddo, watching the stars, eh?" A voice shocked me. Under the absolutely minimal light and the faint glow of his cigarette, he seems like a farmer from around here. "Be careful now, we recently found a girl in the well with a broken rope in her hands", he continued, "you don't want to end up in a well, would ya?"
I thanked him for his concern and he bid goodbye. Perhaps it was time for me to head back as well. But, the guiding ropes were broken.
Here's what they mean if you didn't get them at first:
1. Why would the lights stay on even after the writer has left. Either the person isn't really blind, or he wasn't alone.
2. The couple would have a baby every 10 years or so and eat it.
3. If she was carrying a baby in one hand, and a heavy bag in the other, which hand did she use to push him away?
4. The boy killed himself and arrived as a corpse. The card was to donate his body to the medical school.
5. The farmer cut the rope and is planning to kill the writer by pushing him into the well, just like how he killed the girl.
