Good news for the stranded fur babies! The Malaysian Veterinary Medical Association (MAVMA) has come forward to provide immediate treatment and other necessary services to animals affected by the flood disaster in Sri Muda, Selangor via a mobile veterinary clinic.
According to Universiti Putra Malaysia (UPM) Faculty of Veterinary Medicine lecturer, Dr. Farina Mustaffa Kamal, the mission is carried out in collaboration with MAVMA and the Malaysian Association of Pet Veterinary Doctors (MSAVA), and its operation will commence from today (21st December) to December 27th.
The mobile veterinary clinic is near Taman Sri Muda, Shah Alam, Selangor, the worst area hit by the flood at the moment. The clinic will be operating from 9 AM to 6 PM daily till December 27th.
"The public can bring their own animals or stray animals affected by the flood disaster to this mobile veterinary clinic," Farina said. "Animals such as cats and dogs will be examined and given treatment by a licensed veterinarian free of charge. This effort has the support of veterinarians from various agencies and clinics, and we even channel animal feed donations as well as other medical equipment needs," she further explained.
If you wish to acquire their service, the coordinates of their location are at 3.0209197998046875, 101.53856658935547, or the parking area of KFC/Pizza Hut Taman Sri Muda, Shah Alam.
