A tragic incident unfolded in Setapak, where a man fell from the 17th floor of a condominium after allegedly stabbing his wife. The couple, both 44 and 37 years old respectively, were Indonesian nationals.
The incident occurred around 11:15 am, stemming from a domestic dispute believed to have arisen from a misunderstanding between the husband and wife. According to Superintendent Ashari Abu Samah, the Chief of Police for the Wangsa Maju District, during the altercation, the husband reportedly stabbed his wife in the chest before falling from the 17th-floor condominium unit.
The suspect was found dead near the condominium's swimming pool, while his wife sustained injuries from the apparent stabbing with a sharp weapon, believed to be a knife.
"The victim was rushed to Kuala Lumpur Hospital (HKL) for treatment, and her condition is reported to be stable," stated Ashari in a released statement today.
He further mentioned that the police are continuing their investigation, treating the case under Section 307 of the Penal Code, which pertains to attempted murder. The tragic incident highlights the serious consequences of domestic conflicts and the need for addressing such issues within society.
