As shared by Says, a teacher in Kedah built makeshift bowling lanes at a primary school for his students to play at during the recess period.
And now, Minister Of Youth and Sports of Malaysia has just donated RM20,000 to help him expand his efforts!
SK Nami teacher, Wan Roslan Wan Ishak, made temporary bowling alleys out of long plywood sheets and plastic pipes.
Wan Roslan mentioned to SAYS, that he bowled for a number of years at the national level and that he had the idea to make this happen in 2023.
Wan Roslan chose to hold practice sessions during break times because the kids weren't getting enough bowling instruction on the weekends.
Now due to the attention that this video has received, Hannah Yeoh contacted Wan Roslan Wan Ishak last week, to speak to him on his determination to help his students.
Yeoh told SAYS that she decided to donate RM20,000 to support the teacher in purchasing more supplies and constructing more temporary bowling alleys for the kids.
According to Wan Roslan, one D.I.Y bowling alley typically costs RM1,000 to install, and while Wan Roslan has received donations to set them up, he occasionally pays out of his own cash.
So isn't it so great for Minister Hannah Yeoh to step up!
