Adam Mukri, 24, attended an air steward interview with a friend but ended up obtaining the position himself.
According to mStar, Adam, who received a diploma in sports science in 2021, was obliged to work as a salesperson because of the pandemic's Movement Control Order.
He eventually worked as a truck driver for a logistics firm and did some freelance modelling work.
Despite his 182 cm height and occasional modelling work, he had never considered becoming an air steward.
"I accompanied my buddy for an interview for fun, without significant expectations," Adam said.
"There were so many great prospects, yet as a delivery truck driver, I was feeling out of position. But, to my astonishment, I got admitted."
Adam's life changed dramatically following the interview.
In an interview with the online media mStar, he stated that, being an airline flight attendant had never been in his plans, he is determined to take advantage of this opportunity.
"My family is overjoyed that I become an air steward. My mother started out concerned, but she ultimately backed my decision," Adam stated.
Adam notices that his salary has increased significantly after nine months on the job.
"My employment hasn't altered much; I'm continuing to work in a service industry. The primary distinction is that I am currently serving passengers in the air rather than consumers on the ground."
His new position has enabled him to explore around the globe, visiting countries such as India, China, and Vietnam.
Adam thinks that all individuals have the ability to pursue their aspirations, and that with effort, those dreams can become reality.
"I initially felt uncomfortable becoming just a truck driver, however with dedication & determination, opportunities inevitably come your way," he added.
