Have you got your vaccine? No? The following are the things that you should pay more attention to before and after the vaccination.  

1. Avoid Drinking Alcohol Before And After Vaccination

According to the US Centers for Disease Control (CDC), the side effects after vaccination (eg. fatigue, headaches, muscle pain, fever, etc.) might be due to dehydration after drinking alcohol. If you are dehydrated or have a little hangover, it may be difficult to distinguish your body's response to alcohol and vaccines. In order to improve the effectiveness of the vaccine, it is better to avoid drinking before and after vaccination.

2. Get Enough Sleep Before And After Vaccination

Having adequate rest helps your immune system to restore to its best condition. In order to improve the quality of sleep, you must pay attention to your daily eating habits. If you consume too little fibres (fruits, vegetables, whole grains, beans, and nuts) and too much fat and sugar, your sleep will be disturbed and your body’s immunity will become poor.

3. Drink Adequate Water Before And After Vaccination

Be sure to drink enough water before and after vaccination. If you always forget to drink water, it is recommended that you can set the phone alarm clock to remind yourself to drink water from time to time. If you do not like to drink pure water, you can add some lemon, lime, fresh mint, cucumber slices, etc. to the water to increase your desire to drink water.

4. Have a healthy diet before and after vaccination

Take in even nutrition and develop healthy eating habits to boost the effectiveness of the vaccine. One of the most important strategies is to eat more vegetables and fruits instead of high-fat and high-calorie processed foods. This eating habit can promote nutrient absorption and help digestion.
