The Yang di-Pertuan Agong, Sultan Abdullah Sultan Ahmad Shah, and the Raja Permaisuri Agong, Tunku Azizah Aminah Maimunah Iskandariah, graced the live news broadcast on TV as they took on the roles of royal news anchors.
In a special segment called "Buletin Diraja," Sultan Abdullah and Tunku Azizah showcased their news-reading talents in the program that aired from 8 p.m. last night.
The royal couple appeared for nearly 15 minutes as news anchors.
"You look familiar," joked Tunku Azizah, addressing Sultan Abdullah in a viral video clip on social media. Sultan Abdullah from Pahang, who will conclude his reign on January 30, is indeed known for being a leader close to the people.
Netizens expressed their good wishes to the royal couple, mentioning that they will greatly miss their governance as the royal pair is recognized for being the most cheerful, sportsmanlike, and compassionate individuals.
