Based on reports, Malaysia's infamous Curry Puffs have made it to the top 100 best pastries in the world and the best part? They stand at #5!
At #4 is the Greek pie bougatsa--a dough stuffed with sweet and savory fillings, and at #6 is Italy's Focaccia di Recco col formaggio, a pastry that is flour, water, olive oil and cheese.
"It is a popular breakfast item or an afternoon snack which can be found at numerous stores, bars, and markets. Because of its simplicity and flavor, 'karipap' quickly became popular outside Malaysia, especially in Thailand and Singapore", said Taste Atlas.
Today there are numerous versions to the snack, and we're a sucker for all of em'.
