Unable to watch the person who raped her live a normal happy life, this Singaporean woman decided to take things into her own hands.
Years ago, when she was only 9 years old, this woman was raped and molested by her brother. These acts of indecency continued until his disgusting crime was exposed when she was 13 years old, and he was sentenced to two years in juvenile.
This caused tension between her and her mother as she had always favoured the survivor’s brother. The tension between them became too much until she had to run away from home.
Later, she met someone, got married and had two daughters and one son. Everything was fine until her brother got married in 2018 and pregnant one year later.
Seeing this fuelled the anger within the survivor. She didn’t think that her brother deserved to live a normal and happy life. So, she started planning her revenge.
She would start off the execution of her revenge by killing her son. He was her favourite and she wanted to give him a painless death. As for the remainder of her family, she planned to burn herself, her mother, her brother and her two daughters alive in September 2019 on the due date of her brother’s first child.
After finding out that insulin injections could kill a person, she proceeded to inject her son with insulin 13 times over the course of seven months starting in January 2019. Her son started getting sick and in June alone he was admitted to the hospital for 11 days.
Finally on the 16th of July 2019, when a nurse was talking to the young boy, he told her about the injections his mother had to give him. The nurse immediately questioned her, and she admitted to injecting him with insulin.
During the court proceedings, it was brought to light that she actually suffered from severe depression, post-traumatic stress disorder and anti-social personality disorder. She also had Munchhausen syndrome.
However, since she was aware of her criminal behaviour and her intention to commit murder was real, she was given 4 years in prison.
