One viral video said to have emerged from social media, showing a customer losing his patience and attempting to hit the cashiers of a famous Nasi Kandar premise in Batu Maung, Pulau Pinang.
The police are now investigating the one-minute and 31-second video, of which the exasperated customer in question claims that one of the cashiers had wrongfully calculated his balance from his food bill. The recording of the altercation has since then gone viral on social media.
According to the Southwest District Police Chief Superintendent Kamarul Rizal Jenal, following that, an investigation has been made regarding the incident after the restaurant employed lodged a police report. "The investigation found that the incident happened at about 4 PM last Saturday at a Nasi Kandar restaurant in Batu Maung.
"An investigation into the case is underway and the case is being investigated in accordance with Section 506 of the Penal Code and Section 233 of the Communications and Multimedia Act," he further said in a statement.
