If there's one prevalent crime that rarely changes as the years go by, it's online scams!
Countless Malaysians have fallen prey to such scams over the past years, resulting in the loss of hundreds of thousands of Ringgit for some. And the saddest part is, not even the banks or authorities had the power to safeguard the victims or even apprehend the culprits.
But fast forward to the present, this particular banking establishment is determined to make that stop.
Introducing the Kill Switch by Maybank, this newly established online safety feature guarantees the utmost protection to its users from future scams.
Dubbed the "deactivation" protocol, users will get the upper hand in safeguarding their accounts as the Kill Switch will automatically log you out of ALL active sessions- Maybank2u website, M2U MY app and even the MAE app.
As users will not be able to access once the deactivation period commences, this will also block potential scammers.
