After receiving backlash from Malaysians, foreigners and then some, the viral Malaysian athlete Olympic uniform designs, have been revamped.
The Olympic Council of Malaysia (OCM) has unveiled a new design for the official attire of the Malaysia contingent for the Paris 2024 Olympics.
The swift change came after the tiger-motif design was made fun of and criticized on various social media platforms, by various people all around the globe.
The new attire also includes the OCM logo with the Malaysian flag and five Olympic rings, replacing the former gold-colored OCM logo.
The design according to the OCM represents Malaysia’s tiger spirit, an identity which came to be since its debut at the SEA Games in Manila, 2005.
Besides that, for the gold-collared t-shirt, the same design is maintained, but with the OCM logo now in matching colors with the Jalur Gemilang.
