ICYMI: A Malay Actor Was Criticized By Netizens For Touching A Dog While Climbing Mount Everest
Attending the Paris 2024 Olympics opening ceremony seemed like a dream come true for many, but for one attendee who paid a staggering RM12,500 for the experience, the reality fell short of expectations.
According to @hanna_london_lash, the RM12.5k ticket offered a view of passing boats, fountains, and a horse that had already crossed the screen.
The much-anticipated laser show was only visible from the opposite side of the Eiffel Tower, note even visible to those in the pricey seats, who saw everything (or lack thereof) only through a giant screen.
A major complaint was the inadequate rain protection. No covers or raincoats were provided or available for purchase, so many attendees ended up drenched as the rain continued to pour.
The food was disappointing, offering only dry sandwiches that many found unappetising and inadequate. The screen flickered on and off several times, increasing frustration among the spectators. Many eventually left halfway though the show.
Hannah has since then requested a partial refund of Euro 2.4k, considering the significant gap between the promised and actual experience.
