A total of 10 students of the MARA Junior College of Science (MRSM) Sultan Azlan Shah, Kuala Kangsar who were involved in a viral bullying incident have officially been expelled from the institution, effective today.
MARA director-general Datuk Azhar Abdul Manaf announce the College Disciplinary Committee (JDM) has made the decision in unison after taking careful and thorough consideration. According to him, MARA takes bullying very seriously. Moreover, the parents of the students involved had also been informed of the committee's firm decision.
"The decision to expel the students involved was made based on the guidelines stated in the MRSM Student Discipline Management Guide," he added. After the video of the bullying went viral, it was discovered that the 13-year-old victim had asked the bullies to stop watching p*rn prior to being beaten up.
"The victim told them if they did not stop watching p*rnographic videos he would have to report the matter to a teacher or a warden." Perak Police Chief, Datuk Mior Faridalathrash Wahid explained. "this triggered the six students who would later punch and kick the victims repeatedly and even asked their other friends to join in."
The victim is currently receiving treatment at a hospital in Selangor and his condition is reported to be in stable condition.
