Duangpetch Promthep, 17, was found unconscious in his dorm in Leicestershire on Sunday (12 Feb) and taken to hospital, where he died on Tuesday (14 Feb). He was one of the twelve boys who survived the Thai Cave incident back in 2018.
According to the police in Leicestershire, his death is not treated as suspicious. While there are reports in Thailand that said he suffered a head injury. However, the real cause of death is yet to be announced.
Promthep has been offered a scholarship to join a football academy in the UK last year. He accepted the offer and moved to Leicestershire, UK, in August 2022.
