A 30-year-old Malaysian driver found himself in trouble when traffic authorities discovered that he was cruising around in his Ferrari with an expired road tax.
Not only did he fail to comply with the necessary regulations, but he also presented authorities with a feeble excuse for his oversight.
The Ferrari driver blamed his busy work schedule as the reason for neglecting to renew his road tax on Thursday when he was apprehended on the Guthrie Corridor Expressway.
The arrest was made during an operation conducted by the Selangor JPJ Elmina Enforcement Station, as reported by the Road Transport Department (JPJ).
According to the Road Transport Act 1987, individuals caught driving with an expired road tax are subject to a fine of RM150. Moreover, if the expiry exceeds one month, an additional RM150 will be added to the original amount.
