The 22-year-old Washington native took the stage to perform his hit single, wearing a rather eye-catching shiny baby blue jumpsuit.
His energetic stage presence was widely lauded, until something rather tongue-in-cheek happened in the end.
As the audience gasped in shock upon the sight, many wondered whether Boone was being intentional.
Not wanting to cause further controversy, he later issued an explanation via his Instagram Story:
“Sorry for adjusting my jumpsuit so aggressively on stage tonight. That thing was extremely restricting in certain areas.”
