A video of a dog caught in a drain here has grabbed the hearts of people after a charming and dramatic rescue film went viral on social media, receiving over 100,000 views in only three days.
The video, shared on the Civil Defence Force (APM) Kota Kinabalu's TikTok account, shows the terrified dog pacing up and down the drain, unable to find a way out.

Responding to the situation, an APM officer crawled down the drain to rescue the stranded dog.
In the video, the officer was seen caressing the dog and carefully soothing it, attempting to gain its trust.
Several rescue attempts ensued, including inserting a ladder down the drain in the hopes that the dog would climb out. However, all efforts failed.
Finally, with no other options, the APM crew chose to carry the dog out himself, successfully bringing it to safety.
The wonderful rescue generated an outpouring of responses from netizens, with hundreds of comments flooding the page.
