On Friday (20 March 2020) it is confirmed by the Ministry of Higher Education that e-learning can still be continued for all higher education institutions (HEI) across Malaysia.
"This is provided that all students have access to the Internet, lecturers and the required infrastructure," said the Higher Education Ministry.
"We do not want any students to be left behind due to their lack of access to the Internet."
"We take note of the level of readiness of some HEIs in terms of their infrastructure, lecturers, online teaching and learning programs with Open and Distance Learning license," it said in a statement on Friday (20 March).
The ministry was referring to the reports about the suspension for all teaching and learning activities, including e-learning, in all public and private higher-learning institutions in the country.
The ministry also reminded HEIs that face-to-face teaching and learning are not allowed.
