In a shocking video that has now gone viral on social media, a drug addict in Yan, Kedah was recorded having a fit of rage after being refused money by his stepfather.
At one point in the video, the enraged drug addict jumped with all his might and kicked the stepfather on his head, who was sitting defeated on the floor just outside of their house, causing him to be thrusted forward, wringing in pain. His mother (we assume) sitting next to the stepfather, can be seen crying and trying to protect her husband from her son's wrath.

The victim suffered swelling in his left ear as a result of being punched by his stepson, as confirmed by the medical professional in charge. This regrettable incident is reported to have taken place in an incident in Kampung Ruat, here, at about 8.30 AM, yesterday. Apart from that, the 72-year-old victim also claimed to have been punched in the head and kicked in the chest and face by the 29-year-old stepson, all because he refused to fund his drug supplies.
In another video here, the suspect can be seen all beaten up by his neighbors, who had learned of what happened.

According to the Yan District Police Chief, Deputy Superintendent Shahnaz Akhtar Haji, the suspect was arrested at 6.45 PM on the same day, in the Lubuk Boi area. He explained that from the relevant information obtained, it is confirmed that the suspect is a mental patient and a holder of the Orang Kurang Upaya (OKU) card.
The incident initially started inside their home, before it got escalated. The poor elderly couple tried to escape by going outside but was again attacked by their deranged son. The case is currently being investigated under Section 323 of the Penal Code/18A of the Domestic Violence Act 2012.
