A Russian couple Ivan Beerkus and Angela Nikolau recently posted a picture of themselves at the top of the Merdeka 118 skyscraper, and it quickly went viral on social media.
Netizens were drawn to the image and inquired about the couple's safety as well as how they managed to scale the structure and enter the building.
️The time has come and I'd love to share the giga story how I climbed the incredible Merdeka 118️

Couldn't help adding @steveaoki music here as it was playing in my head when I was standing on top of the world.
Feel the dizziness of being there with me

Angela however took to Twitter to "show off" her sly intrusion tactic in order to penetrate the building without being detected.
In order to study the build of the building, she rented an apartment that had a good view of the tower, and just to study the building, it took her several weeks to figure out the important details.
During the day she infiltrated the building, she disguised as a contractor by wearing a builder's uniform along with a hijab and spectacles. She ran for her life up to the 32nd floor until she got exhausted and perspired too much.
After she rested, there was one moment when she got detected and entered a small concrete box where she spent more than 20 hours in to hid from authorities.
As she went on and on in her tweets, she ended by saying, "I respect laws of every country. Even what I do is trespassing sometimes, I took special care not to cause any damage to anything, which other roofers sometimes do. My goal is to create memorable art by capturing the moments of worlds tallest buildings."
However, netizens are not impressed as they were angered with how she had the audacity to disguise herself using a hijab and think it was "news" to parade around doing something illegal just to take photos.
'Cause, to be frank, Merdeka118 can't possibly have a security system whereby any Tom, Dick, and Harry could just disguise and walk in without anyone noticing.
