ICYMI: WATCH: Large Python Under Bed Raises Safety Questions Among Netizens
Activist Saharuddin Amirullah earned the praises of netizens when he purchased a basket of curry puffs from two young sisters to support their livelihood.
In a two-minute video shared on his TikTok account, Saharuddin recounted the story of the young girls in Sabah selling kuih by the roadside to sustain themselves.
Upon spotting the girls carrying baskets along the road, Saharuddin stopped and approached them.
He learned from the girls that they were selling curry puffs to make ends meet, after their father's passing.
Moved by their plight, Saharuddin decided to buy all the curry puffs they had for sale and even provided them with additional financial assistance.
In a separate video, Saharuddin's generosity extended beyond the roadside encounter as he visited the sisters' modest home, bringing groceries and essentials to ease their burden.
"Sometimes we only eat once at home because we do not have enough rice. We do not have enough money to buy more," said one of the girls.
Saharuddin was seen giving the girls packs of rice, sugar, and trays of eggs to use at home.
The comments section on the video was flooded with social media users who were moved by the plight of the young girls navigating hardships in this world.
