Even though face masks have become part of our visage nowadays, that doesn't mean we have to stop playing around with makeup. Perhaps we've sacrificed some parts of our makeup routine in order to incorporate the mask- but that's a whole other story.
When it comes to wearing lipsticks, surely that's one type of makeup most of us can't forgo. The only issue is: how can we avoid getting pesky lipstick stains underneath the mask?
Here are 3 tips you can try:
1. Never skip the base
Two words: Lip Balm.
Apply a coat of lip balm and let it settle onto your lips for around 5-10 minutes, before going in with the lipstick. There's nothing better than having clean, moisturized lips as this creates a lasting base for the lipstick to stay onto.
2. Lip liner is a must
Even the cracks on your lips can cause the lipstick to bleed out. For a longer finish, the trick is to draw your lips with a liner that has a similar shade to your lipstick.
3. Matte is best
Matte lipsticks are best for a smudge-proof finish, compared to glossy ones. As a matte formula is more lightweight, this prevents any excessive liquid (including your sweat) from transferring onto the mask.
