A Toyota Vios parked at the exit of a garbage transfer station in Butterworth became the target of an unusual form of public backlash after residents took matters into their own hands. Frustrated by the vehicle blocking access to the station, angry locals piled trash and even an old mattress onto the car in retaliation.
The incident, reported by Guang Ming Daily, occurred near an apartment complex close to the Butterworth Digital Library. Photos of the scene quickly spread on social media, showing the car buried under piles of garbage and serving as a stark warning to other motorists about the consequences of parking irresponsibly.
The vehicle had been left parked in front of the garbage station gate, preventing workers from easily accessing or returning the garbage bins to their designated area. With their path obstructed, the workers were forced to place bins around the car, blocking it from multiple sides.
Adding to the drama, local residents joined in by tossing household waste directly onto the car's windshield. In a final act of frustration, an old double mattress was placed on the vehicle's rearview mirrors, further highlighting the collective anger toward the owner's careless behavior.
This incident sparked widespread discussion online, with many users supporting the residents' actions as a necessary response to the driver's disregard for proper parking rules.
