Chinese New Year is a time for family reunions, and for one dedicated pet owner in Jiangsu, China, that family includes his beloved dogs. Determined not to leave them behind, Zhou embarked on an unforgettable road trip, bringing all nine of his canine companions along for the celebration.
Sharing his adventure on Xiaohongshu, Zhou captivated social media users with videos of his specially prepared vehicle an off-road car modified to accommodate his furry friends. Six of the dogs rode comfortably in the trunk, while three others enjoyed a front-row view inside a transparent dog house securely fastened to the back of the vehicle. With the wind in their fur and excitement in their eyes, the pack set off on a three-hour drive to Zhou's hometown.
His traveling companions were an eclectic mix of breeds, including Huskies, Shiba Inus, a Dalmatian, French Bulldogs, and Corgis. Initially brimming with energy, the dogs soon succumbed to the soothing hum of the car and dozed off along the journey.
To ensure their safety and comfort, Zhou took a scenic route on quieter country roads instead of the busy highways. His convoy attracted plenty of attention, with passersby stopping to take photos of the unique sight. However, the journey required careful planning frequent stops allowed the dogs to stretch, take bathroom breaks, and roam in safe, secluded areas away from traffic.
Addressing concerns from netizens about cleanliness, Zhou reassured them that his vehicle was designed with his pets in mind. The car featured a washable interior and drainage holes, making it easy to clean after the trip. Upon arrival, his eager pups tumbled out, ready to explore and enjoy the festivities with their owner.
Despite the challenges of traveling with such a large pack, Zhou wouldn't have it any other way. "They are my family," he shared, "and no matter what, we go home together for the New Year." His heartwarming journey is a beautiful reminder that love and companionship know no bounds especially when it comes to family, whether on two legs or four.
