Some of us go through life rather blindly, with neither maps nor directions. We're all looking for some kind of guidance, and perhaps some of these lessons could resonate with you.

You may have been raised at a young age to silence what breaks you; to tuck your demons safely in a corner while you brave your streets in an armored mask. Children who grew up emotionally abused—even in the slightest— eventually took comfort in emotional regression, mistaking it as a sign of invincibility.
If this reflects your childhood in any way, those walls need to go. Allow yourself the liberation of feeling human— you don't need to act tough all the time.
|2| Self-Worth Should Come From You

At one point in our lives, we all did the mistake of desperately scouring scraps of self-worth in someone else— a peer, a significant other, parents' expectations et cetera et cetera.
But it is rather foolish to place your ability to feel enough on another volatile being of whom you can't control; someone who can easily take it away from you. That kind of stability you can only achieve by reaching out well within yourself.
You are only as worthy as you allow yourself to believe. Don't let yourself down.

You wish someone had warned you about adulthood, and everything else that comes with it. Unlike the movies, life doesn't always play out according to plots— sometimes it'd take months of absolute anguish before you get to your happy endings, and most of the time you're in survival mode.
If no one has told you this yet; you are doing great. Despite the battle scars, you're still here standing and that is worthy of a celebration.
