Good news for Senior Citizens!!! 

Through the last 2021 budget Dato 'Sri Tengku Zafrul Tengku Abdul Aziz who is the finance minister of Malaysia has announced that the Bantuan Warga Emas or Bantuan Kebajikan Orang Tua will be increased from RM350 to RM500 per person for those who have registered with the Welfare Department Community (JKM) and the assistance has been continued until 2022.

ELIGIBILITY REQUIREMENTS

1. Citizen and resident in Malaysia;

2. Senior citizens aged 60 years old and above;

3. Household Income does not exceed the Poverty Line Income (PGK) of the Current Average Poor Household or PGK Average

    Current Poor Per Capita; and

4. Senior citizens who do not live in:

     i. Institutions controlled by JKM; or

     ii. Day care / residential centers that provide facilities / services for free;

OR

1. Any case that is necessary, eligible to be considered with the approval of KPKM.

HOW TO APPLY

1. Visit ebantuanjkm.

2. Click on the register application button.

3. Enter the state of residence and no. IC.

4. When done, click the register button.

5. Within 14 days, please go to the Social Welfare Department Office nearest to your area. A list of office directories can be found here - click HERE

REQUIRED DOCUMENTS

1. Copy of the applicant's IC.

2. Copy of IC of husband / wife / mother / father / child living together.

3. Copies of birth certificates of children / family members living together.

4. Copy of salary statement (if any)

5. Other relevant documents.
