For the past year, many Malaysians have chosen to boycott brands that support Israel, in response to the attacks on Palestine.
Among these brands are popular fast-food chains with numerous franchises in the country.
Recently, an individual claimed that boycotting these fast-food outlets has had no real impact on Israel, as their attacks continue.
According to this person, the boycott has instead negatively affected local workers, who have lost their jobs due to the decline in customers.
"I often pass by these fast-food outlets, and I see that most of the employees are Malay. I feel sympathy for them, so Ive decided to resume supporting all legitimate businesses in Malaysia to help sustain our peoples livelihoods," they said.
The individual further emphasized that the boycott is not affecting Israel, but rather taking away the livelihood of local workers.
