Face mask has become highly demanded worldwide since the outbreak of COVID-19. Same goes to Malaysia, as many of us failed to buy sufficient amount of masks for ourselves and families. But let’s worry less from now on, especially those living in Kuala Lumpur! The distribution of 1.7 million free face masks to people in the area, including the homeless, has started.
When Senior Minister Datuk Seri Ismail Sabri Yaakob on April 8 said some 24.62 million face masks would be distributed to the people nationwide for free, some of us who really need one might be looking forward to receiving the free face masks. It has started now, and do note that each household will receive 4 pieces, according to the Senior Minister, as reported by Bernama.

In the same news report, it is also said that a lot of Malaysians who were given the face masks expressed their gratitude to the government, while some even declined the face masks as they have enough stocks and asked the authorities to give them to others in need.
It’s good to see that we still care about each other during this difficult time. This proves that #kitajagakita is not just a slogan, it is what we are doing, as Malaysians.
