No doubt we are all in a tense situation right now. All we heard these days are about "How many cases we've got for today", "Wait what? There's announcement again later tonight?", "He or she has been recently got close contact with a positive Covid-19 patient and we are required to work from home starting tomorrow", "Wear your mask, wash you hands, sanitize frequently and observe social distancing" and so on... 

Covid-19 crisis is not only slowing down global economic, it has made a big impact on our everyday life. Yes, it's hard! We've been feeling stress, anxious, lonely, frustrated, depressed, fear throughout this year but that's okay! We got this! You may not realize but human mind is powerful than you think you are depends on how you would like to cope with it. Here's how we can comfort ourselves via 5 senses: 


#1 Sight

-Turn on Netflix and ready to binge-watch or you may enjoy 'kdramathon' and fangirling over your oppas. Yes! Not one but you can have it all oppas you want ;)

-Take trip down memory lane by viewing at your photo albums or even Instagram archive stories. Trust me, you'll be smiling while looking back at it. 

-Tired of looking at the screens? Step outside, look around from your balcony or car porch and observe. There may be nothing fancy but little details in life that you may find peace sometimes.

#2 Smell

-Take out your diffuser which you bought earlier during MCO and choose your favourite essential oils.

-Of course you don't have to buy it if you don't have it you can always put on your favourite perfume, cologne or lotion.

-Else, lighting up a scented candle is a good choice too.

#3 Taste

-FOOD! Food will always soothe your soul. Treating your taste buds to something delicious can be both comforting and joyful. It could be something you've been craving for or discover food that you have been in your foodie bucket list or even just single scoop of your favourite ice cream.

-Loss of appetite? No worries, you can simply enjoy sipping your ideal cup of warm hot drink.

#4 Hearing

-Tune in to your best pick podcasts or playlists and do nothing. Just chill...

-Reach out to someone you loved and trusted. Pretty sure you have someone in mind right now, so what are you waiting for? Call them up. Your best friends, your family, your partner... whoever that can make you feel comforting enough.

#5 Touch

-Take a long bath or warm shower after a long day. Give yourself a good time with some bath bombs.

-Put on comfortable clothes and cuddle in warm cozy blanket.

-Hug someone, be hugged or butterfly hug *It’s Okay to Not Be Okay’s signature self hug*. Little did you know that hugging is a good medicine which transfer energy and gives that person a lift.

In short, you can always practices doing those above at anytime not necessary when you're stress overload.
