We often find ourselves guilty at the emotions we feel, especially when they are of more negative in nature.
However, it is perfectly okay to feel more than one thing at a time, even if they stand on contradicting ends.
Here are 4 examples of how you can feel more than one emotion at a time, and that it's okay.
Check them out.
1. Angry at your parents for all the pain they have caused, and also grateful because they did the best they could.
2. Worried and scared for the state of the world, but also hopeful and thankful that there is hope in humanity yet.
3. Sad to release a bond that once meant the world, and grateful for all the memories you received when they were in your life.
4. Nervous and fearing something new, but also open and curious for the adventure that may just lie ahead.
We're made up of so much more than one emotion, and there is hardly anything in the world that is black or white.
So, it's more than okay to feel different things at the same time. It doesn't make you problematic, only real and human.
When you find yourself in the midst of instances like this, cut yourself some slack, and whisper, 'I'm okay', and you shall be.
