Good news for all Penangites! Penang has recorded 0 new COVID-19 cases in a row. And if this goes on, the state will be declared a "green zone"!

According to the Chief Minister of Penang, Mr. Chow Kon Yeow, based on the 14-day Covid-19 monitoring report, if the state continues to have no additional cases, “all districts in Penang can be green zones on April 27”. As for district level, Seberang Perai Selatan (SPS) will be the first district to achieve green zone status on Apr 21 if there is no more new cases, Sin Chew Daily reported.

Nevertheless, we still cannot afford to ‘relax’. Continue to obey the MCO until we are really in a safe situation. Stay home, and limit outdoor travel,” he said on a media conference that was streamed live on his Facebook page.

However, as reminded by the Chief Minister, we really need to abide by the rules set by the authorities to win the fight against the coronavirus once and for all.
