A 19-year-old teen was launched over onto a roof of a workshop after his motorcycle collided with a Honda Civic at Kampung Pak Badol, Bachok, Kelantan.
The victim, Wan Mohamad Sabaruddin Wan Zakaria, 19, soared to a height of more than five meters when the incident happened at around 11 AM. The owner of the workshop, Abdul Sukri Mohamad, 59, recalled that during the incident, he was repairing a car when he heard a loud bang as he witnessed the collision.
"We were searching for the victim but couldn't find him anywhere," he added. "A few minutes later, I heard a sound coming from the roof realized the victim was on it,". According to Head of Bachok Fire and Rescue Station, Assistant Fire Superintendent Yus Heary Mahmud, a total of seven members along with 11 members from other rescue agencies such as the police, APM, and the Ministry of Health Malaysia (MOH) were involved in rescuing the victims.
"We took 10 minutes using three ladder units, a stretcher unit, and a harness to lower the injured victim," he said.
Meanwhile, the man driving the Honda Civic was later arrested and is currently on remand for four days. According to Bachok District Police Chief, Deputy Superintendent Mohamad Ismail Jamaluddin, "Examination of the man's body also found drugs believed to be heroin weighing three grams and 102 horse pills worth RM3,020," he explained.
" Urine screening tests found that the suspect was positive for methamphetamine and had seven drug case records," he said.
