Apparently, the fee charged is for a period of 45 minutes and RM 950 for outcall subscriptions starting from 10 PM until 7 AM. According to the Director-General of the Immigration Department, Datuk Khairul Dzaimee Daud, the raid, known as Op Gegar was executed according to information tipped by a certain party that the hotels were indeed serving female prostitutes of Thai ethnicity.
A total of 14 foreign nationals consisting of 12 women from Thailand, one from Myanmar, and a British man were arrested during the raid. A number of condoms and lubricants were also discovered at the scene.
"All those arrested are between 21 and 69 years old apart from three local male customers who were also given the notice to testify," Khairul Dzaimee explained. "The operation was carried out simultaneously on the two budget hotel premises and the intelligence found that the premises were visited by customers consisting of locals and foreigners."
