Apparently, the fee charged is for a period of 45 minutes and RM 950 for outcall subscriptions starting from 10 PM until 7 AM. According to the Director-General of the Immigration Department, Datuk Khairul Dzaimee Daud, the raid, known as Op Gegar was executed according to information tipped by a certain party that the hotels were indeed serving female prostitutes of Thai ethnicity.

"All those arrested are between 21 and 69 years old apart from three local male customers who were also given the notice to testify," Khairul Dzaimee explained. "The operation was carried out simultaneously on the two budget hotel premises and the intelligence found that the premises were visited by customers consisting of locals and foreigners."

The premises work by requiring their customers to choose their "women" and make reservations in advance through Telegram. All detainees are currently placed at the Bukit Jalil Immigration Depot, Kuala Lumpur for investigation in accordance with the Trafficking in Persons and Anti-Smuggling of Migrants Act (ATPPSOM), Immigration Act 1959/1963, Passport Act 1966, and Immigration Regulations 1963," he said.
