FIFPRO, the global union for professional soccer players, confirmed on Wednesday that two Ukrainian soccer players, Vitalii Sapylo, 21, and Dmytro Martynenko, 25 were killed during the war.
Above all, the IBU expresses its deepest condolences on the loss of former Ukrainian biathlete Yevhen Malyshev (19 ), who died this week serving in the Ukrainian military.

The Executive Board once again condemns the Russian attacks on Ukraine and the support provided by Belarus.
Former Ukrainian biathlete, Yevhen Maylshev, 19 was also among the many casualties, regrettably. The news was announced on Twitter by the International Biathlon Union, in an official statement. "The Executive Board once again condemns the Russian attacks on Ukraine and the support provided by Belarus," they added.
Latest on the Russian invasion of Ukraine: The Russian forces have reportedly opened fire at Zaporizhzhia nuclear power plant, and have also taken major cities in Ukraine under their siege. The president of Ukraine, Volodymyr Zelenskyy has since implored international assistance.
