About a dozen cars which were traveling on a highway in Singapore (Kranji Expressway) today, had to pull over when their vehicles were damaged by numerous pieces of metal on the road.
Based on reports, it was then discovered that the metal pieces has fallen off a truck onto the road.
The truck was a Malaysian registered vehicle.
One of the affected drivers mentioned having to pay about RM4,800+ to get his tires and rims changed because of it.
The incident occured along KJE, in the direction of Bukit Timah Expressway (BKE).
“There was a loud stomping sound that hit the undercarriage of my car. The next yhing I knew, the car tires sensors was beeping and I knew something had hit my tires”, said the affected driver.
The metal pieces were metal sheets and beams, and around 10-15 cars were damaged.
“All the affected drivers got a photo of the Malaysian truck driver’s particulars and the company he’s from”, said the driver.
