Today begins the process of walk-in vaccination for Malaysians living in Klang Valley, as announced by the Special Committee on Covid-19 Vaccine Supply (JKJAV).
Here are some important things you need to know:
• For Malaysians aged 40 years old and above, or those with comorbidities, walk-in vaccination will take place starting August 2nd to August 4th (Monday to Wednesday).
• For Malaysians aged 18 years and above, their turn will begin from August 5th to August 22nd.
• From August 9th to August 11th, non-Malaysian aged 40, or those with comorbidities will have their turn as well.
• Non-Malaysians aged 18 and above can walk in between Aug 12th to August 22nd.
• It will be a first come first serve basis.
Walk-in vaccination will start at 2 PM every day, at selected PPVs specifically accommodated for such service. Before you go for walk-ins, you'd need to provide proof of residence to verify that you're staying in Klang Valley— driving licenses, identity cards, utility bills, student cards, or anything else that could prove that you're residing in Klang Valley. Those with comorbidities are to provide a doctor's letter or any relevant document that verifies their health condition.

Non-Malaysians without valid visa documents will be required to go through a process for vaccinating non-citizen individuals by the JKJAV. If you know anyone living in Klang Valley who hasn't gotten their appointment yet, do help to inform them especially the elderly who may not have access to the latest Covid-19 vaccination updates due to having no smartphones or television, etc.
